Lancaster Parks & Recreation Opens Registration for 2026 Youth Football and Cheerleading Programs

Lancaster Parks & Recreation has opened registration for its 2026 youth football and cheerleading programs, offering a variety of opportunities for children to participate in football and spirit activities during the upcoming season.

A new addition to this year’s lineup is a dedicated Girls Flag Football division. According to Lancaster Parks & Recreation, the new division is intended to expand opportunities for young female athletes to develop their skills, compete, and participate in organized recreational sports.

Registration is currently available for girls flag football, boys flag football, tackle football, and cheerleading. Families have until July 31, 2026, to complete registration.

The football programs are divided by age and grade level. Girls Flag Football is open to participants from Pre-K through 8th grade with a registration fee of $25. Boys Flag Football is available for Pre-K through Kindergarten participants at a registration fee of $25. Tackle Football is open to students in 1st through 4th grade and carries a $35 registration fee.

Lancaster Parks & Recreation highlights several benefits of participating in its youth football programs, including building confidence and teamwork, learning football fundamentals, staying physically active, and making new friends through organized sports.

Parents and guardians can register online by visiting the registration website or by scanning the QR code included in the official registration graphic. The registration period closes on July 31, 2026.
