Garrard Fiscal Court to Consider Data Center Ordinance, EMS Ambulance Bids at July 13 Meeting
The Garrard County Fiscal Court will convene its next regular meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Garrard County Courthouse, located at 15 Public Square in Lancaster. The meeting agenda includes a range of county business, infrastructure updates, financial matters, emergency services, and the first reading of a proposed data center ordinance.
Residents will have an opportunity to address county officials during the public comments portion of the meeting before the Fiscal Court moves into its scheduled agenda.
Among the routine items are approval of previous court minutes, transfer requests, payment of county bills, and approval of the previous month’s financial statement. The court will also consider plats and address any old business carried forward from previous meetings.
Several infrastructure projects are slated for discussion, including updates on the Old Railroad Grade Road Bridge project, ongoing storm repair efforts, and matters related to Boones Creek Road.
Emergency services are also expected to be a key topic, with magistrates reviewing bids for new EMS ambulances to support county emergency response capabilities.
Additional agenda items include consideration of the county surplus list, an update on opioid abatement efforts, and the first reading of a proposed Data Center Ordinance, which marks the beginning of the formal legislative process for the proposed regulations.
The meeting is expected to conclude with an executive session, if necessary, as permitted under Kentucky law.
The July 13 Fiscal Court meeting is open to the public, and residents are encouraged to attend to stay informed about county government decisions and ongoing projects affecting the community.
