Lancaster City Council to Consider Tax Rate, Community Projects at August 3 Meeting

The Lancaster City Council is scheduled to hold its regular meeting on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers at 308 West Maple Avenue. The meeting agenda includes routine city business, departmental updates, funding discussions, and several community-focused initiatives.

Council members are expected to begin the meeting with a call to order, followed by the welcome, prayer, pledge, approval of previous meeting minutes, and approval of the city's financial report. A community presentation and public comment period are also scheduled, providing residents an opportunity to address city officials before council moves into departmental reports.

Department heads from Maintenance, Police, Fire, and Parks & Recreation will present updates on their respective operations and ongoing projects.

Under old business, council members will revisit discussions regarding City Hall and Jaycees Ballpark light funding, two topics that have remained on the council's agenda.
