Garrard County Crews Clear Storm Debris as Power Restoration Efforts Continue

Chris Elleman, Judge Executive of Garrard County, reported that local road crews began work early this morning to clear fallen trees from roadways following apparent storm-related disruptions.

According to Elleman, personnel from the county’s Road Department are actively removing debris to ensure safe travel conditions for residents. Motorists who encounter downed trees obstructing roadways are being asked to report the issue by contacting local dispatch at 859-792-2244. County officials indicated that crews will respond to such reports as quickly as possible.

In addition to roadway hazards, power outages have been reported across parts of the county. Elleman confirmed that electric utility providers have been notified and are currently working to restore service. No estimated timeline for full restoration was provided.

Residents commuting to work were urged to exercise caution while traveling, as cleanup and repair efforts remain ongoing throughout the area. Local authorities continue to monitor conditions and coordinate response efforts to address both transportation and utility concerns.
