Garrard & Lancaster Declare State of Emergency

Garrard County and the City of Lancaster have formally declared a State of Emergency in advance of the winter storm forecasted to begin tomorrow. This declaration is intended to ensure public safety and allow emergency services and road crews to respond as effectively as possible.

Travel Advisory

All residents are strongly urged to use extreme caution if travel is unavoidable. Citizens are asked to limit all travel and avoid driving if at all possible, particularly during periods of heavy snowfall, icing, or reduced visibility. • Be alert for icy conditions, especially on bridges, overpasses, and shaded areas
