Garrard County Animal Shelter at Maximum Capacity, Urgently Needs Adopters and Rescuers

The Garrard County Animal Shelter has issued an urgent plea for help as they are reaching maximum capacity with their current animals. The shelter is in dire need of adopters and rescuers to step forward and take in these loving animals before it's too late.

The shelter shared the news on their Facebook page, stating that they have a lot of animals on stray hold and many of them do not have pictures yet. They have also mentioned that they have several fully sponsored adoption fees for many of their babies, which means that adopters will not have to pay any fees.

"We really need help with either adopters and or rescues to help us!" the shelter wrote. "Please, if you're interested in adopting, come see us! We can help you find the right fit for you!!"

The Garrard County Animal Shelter also expressed concern that if they do not get some of the animals moved out, they may have to make the difficult decision to euthanize them. They have pleaded with the public to share the news and help find these animals loving homes.

"We do NOT wanna do that!" the shelter added. "Please share!!"

Among the animals that the shelter is trying to find homes for are Tucker and Athena, who have been with them for well over a year. The shelter even added that these babies come with a $50 gift card to PetSmart.

Garrard County Animal Shelter is open Monday through Friday and can be reached by phone at (859) 792-1562.

Let's help the Garrard County Animal Shelter find loving homes for these animals and prevent the unthinkable from happening.
