Inter-County Energy Makes Significant Progress in Power Restoration Efforts

Inter-County Energy announced that crews have made significant progress in their power restoration efforts as of 8:30 pm today. The company reported that this morning there were over 7,000 outages, but the number has been reduced to 3,630 members still without power. The company has assured its members that it will work just as hard for the remaining members as it did for those who received power restoration today.

Despite the progress made, Inter-County Energy anticipates that this will be a multiple day outage for some of its members. The extent of the damage and the challenging terrain has made it even more difficult for the company to restore power to its members. As of now, the company is unable to provide estimated times for restoration on individual outages due to the number of outages it currently has.

In order to expedite the power restoration process, Inter-County Energy has sought help from Mecklenburg Electric Cooperative in Virginia and Blue Ridge Energy from North Carolina. The company will also have additional crews from out of state assisting tomorrow and in the days ahead. Inter-County Energy expressed its gratitude towards the help it has received and assured its members that it will not stop until all power has been restored.

Inter-County Energy expressed its appreciation for the overwhelming support from its members while also acknowledging their frustration. The company assured its members that if their area has not been restored yet, it will be soon. The company urged its members to stay safe during the ongoing power outage and to report any downed power lines to Inter-County Energy immediately.
