Garrard County to Host Blood Drive at Lancaster Baptist Church
Garrard County is set to host a community blood drive on Tuesday, January 3, from 12:30 PM to 6:00 PM. The event will take place at the Lancaster Baptist Church Family Life Center, located at 201 Richmond Street, Lancaster, KY 40444. This vital initiative is sponsored by the Lancaster Women’s Club, a local organization known for its community service and philanthropic efforts.
The blood drive serves as an essential opportunity for residents to contribute to a lifesaving cause. Blood donations are crucial for maintaining adequate supplies in hospitals and clinics, particularly during the winter months when donations typically decrease. The event is open to all eligible donors in the community and surrounding areas.
As an added incentive, the Kentucky Blood Center (KBC) will offer a special gift to participants. All donors will receive a KBC hoodie, available while supplies last. This gesture not only serves as a token of appreciation but also helps promote the spirit of giving during the cold season.
Residents are encouraged to participate in this community event, which underscores the importance of voluntary blood donations in saving lives and supporting healthcare systems. The Lancaster Women’s Club and the Kentucky Blood Center are committed to ensuring a successful and safe donation experience for all participants. For more information or to schedule an appointment, potential donors can visit the Kentucky Blood Center’s website. Walk-ins are also welcome.
