Lonnie Lawson, President and CEO of The Center for Rural Development, and Allison Cross, Community Liaison and Youth Programs Coordinator for The Center, present 2019 ELI graduate Kyrin Norris with a certificate acknowledging her team’s win in the ELI Business Concept Challenge Competition. Norris, a student at Garrard County High School, was a member of the ELI business team “Econition,” which pitched a business idea for a new biodegradable shotgun shell. Each member of the winning Team Econition earned a $16,000 Provost scholarship offer from Eastern Kentucky University.

2018 Rogers Scholar Kennedy Bruner of Garrard County collects toy donations for the Wyatt’s Warriors Toy Chests at the University of Kentucky Children’s Hospital for her community service project.
