Garrard County Schools Announces NTI Day for January 26 Due to Weather-Related Concerns
Garrard County Schools has announced that it will implement a Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Day on Monday, January 26, 2026. The decision comes amid concerns over power outages potentially affecting the area, prompting the school district to shift to virtual learning for all students.
According to an official statement posted on the district’s social media platforms, students will attend classes remotely on Monday. The district emphasized that it is actively monitoring power outages and is prepared to make further adjustments if conditions worsen.
“We will be closely monitoring power outages overnight. If outages increase significantly, we will transition to a traditional snow day,” the district stated. Should such a change be necessary, families will receive notification via text message and phone call. Additional updates will also be posted on the Garrard County Schools website and social media pages.
This move allows the district to maintain instructional continuity while prioritizing student and staff safety in response to potentially hazardous weather conditions.
Parents and guardians are encouraged to stay informed through official communication channels for any further announcements.
