Beginner Sewing Class Announced at Extension Office
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment is offering a Beginner Sewing Class designed for individuals with little to no sewing experience. This two-session class series, led by instructor Debby Jorgensen, will take place on September 5th and September 12th from 9 AM to 12 PM at the Garrard County Extension Office in Lancaster, KY.
Aimed at true beginners, this class is ideal for those who need a refresher or have never used a sewing machine. Participants must bring their own sewing machines; however, the office can provide machines on a first-come, first-served basis for those who request one during registration.
The class will cover essential sewing skills, including basic machine setup and use, cutting and measuring material, and identifying necessary supplies. With a limit of six participants, early registration is encouraged to secure a spot.
To RSVP, interested individuals can call 859-792-3026. The Garrard County Extension Office is located at 1302 Stanford Road, Lancaster, KY 40444. This initiative reflects the college's commitment to community education and skill development.
