Garrard County Secures 3-0 Victory Over Lincoln County on Senior Night
On Monday, September 30, the Garrard County girls' volleyball team celebrated Senior Night with a commanding 3-0 win over Lincoln County. The match ended with Garrard taking each set with scores of 25-17, 25-17, and 25-15.
The victory came on a special night dedicated to honoring the senior players who have made significant contributions to the team throughout their high school careers.
Five seniors — MaKenna Allen (#10), Jeslyn Baier (#3), Hannah Fuller (#18), Alicia Gabbard (#29), and McKenzie Martin (#7) — were recognized in a ceremony prior to the match. These players were central to Garrard County's performance, leading the team to victory in front of their home crowd.
Allen (#10) demonstrated her defensive prowess by leading the team in digs with 9 across the three sets. Allen's presence on the court was crucial in keeping Lincoln County's attacks from finding the floor, showcasing her agility and game awareness.
