Garrard Middle School Announces Chris Cook as New Head Football Coach
In a significant move for its football program, Garrard Middle School has appointed Chris Cook as the new Head Football Coach.
Cook, a renowned figure in high school and collegiate football, brings a wealth of experience and a track record of success to the position. As a three-year starter at Boyle County High School, Cook played a pivotal role in his team's impressive 43-1 record and consecutive state championships. His senior year was marked by personal accolades, including being named an All-State Running Back and the 2010 State Championship MVP.
Post high school, Cook's athletic journey continued at Campbellsville University, where he played as a running back, further honing his skills and understanding of the game.
Before joining Garrard Middle School, Coach Cook was part of the Garrard County Golden Lions' coaching staff, overseeing running backs and linebackers. His coaching prowess was also evident during his tenure as Head Coach at Lincoln Middle School, where he led the team to a nearly perfect season in 2019, culminating in a Salt River Conference victory.
The school community is excited to welcome not only Coach Cook but also his wife, Holly, to the Cougar family.
