Garrard County Volleyball Triumphs Over Danville Christian in 4-Set Matchup
Garrard County emerged victorious over Danville Christian on Thursday night, August 31, winning three out of four sets with scores of 25-16, 25-17, 24-26, and 25-17.
The home team showcased its depth and versatility, with standout performances from multiple players. Garrard County posted impressive statistics, including 41 kills, 9 total blocks, 29 assists, 72 digs, and 16 service aces across the team.
Presley Applegate, donning the No. 15 jersey, had an impactful performance, contributing five kills and a solo block. Applegate also led the team in digs with eight and notched two service aces.
Hannah Fuller, wearing No. 18, was pivotal as the team's setter, recording 15 assists. She also contributed three kills and led the team with three service aces.
Madilyn Combs (No. 25) showed her defensive prowess with a staggering 20 digs while also making a mark on the scoreboard with six kills and a service ace.
Skylar Mullins, in jersey No. 13, was the leader in kills with 13, and she also showcased her blocking abilities with a solo block. Mullins added 11 digs to her tally and led the team in service aces with six.
Other noteworthy performances included Alexis Lewis (No. 9), who provided seven kills and two solo blocks, and McKenzie Martin (No. 7), who contributed five kills and led the team in blocks with four solo blocks.
Among the other players, Haleigh Fry (No. 26) also contributed notably with 12 assists and seven digs, while MaKenna Allen (No. 5) shone in defense with 15 digs.
