Garrard County High School Sweeps Danville in Three-Set Volleyball Match
Garrard County's High School Volleyball Team clinched a decisive victory against Danville on Monday, August 28, in a three-set match, winning 3-0. The match concluded with set scores of 25-15, 25-16, and 25-22.
Garrard County showcased its strength in various aspects of the game, including kills, blocks, and service aces. As a team, they totaled 26 kills, two blocks, and 13 service aces during the match.
Skylar Mullins, wearing jersey number 13, led the team with an impressive 11 kills and contributed one solo block. Her all-around performance was complemented by 11 digs and one service ace. Chloe Middleton (Jersey 14) had an impactful night as well, notching up two kills and leading the team with 15 digs along with five service aces.
Hannah Fuller (Jersey 18) demonstrated versatility with two kills, eight digs, and a service ace. Madilyn Combs (Jersey 25) and Alexis Lewis (Jersey 9) each contributed four kills to the victory. Combs also added two digs, while Lewis was good for one service ace and two digs.
Haleigh Fry (Jersey 26) specialized in assists, making 12 valuable contributions in that department while also accumulating eight digs. MaKenna Allen (Jersey 5) was another defensive stalwart for the team with 13 digs and two service aces. Presley Applegate (Jersey 15) and McKenzie Martin (Jersey 7) contributed across the board. Applegate recorded one kill, one dig, and two service aces, while Martin scored two kills, one solo block, one dig, and one service ace.
