Kentucky County Clerks Association Welcomes Commissioner of Agriculture and State Treasurer at Meeting

State Commissioner of Agriculture-Elect Jonathan Shell delivered remarks during a Kentucky County Clerks Association meeting on Thursday, Dec. 21.

The Kentucky County Clerks Association convened for a significant meeting on Thursday, Dec. 21, where notable figures like State Commissioner of Agriculture-elect Jonathan Shell delivered remarks.

Shell highlighted the diligent efforts of county clerks in serving their communities. Acknowledging the exceptional work of the Garrard County Clerk's Office in his home county of Garrard, Shell expressed his appreciation for their service.

His visit to the meeting was not only to extend holiday greetings but also to reaffirm his eagerness to work closely with the clerks through the Ag Tag Program, underscoring a collaborative approach to community service and agricultural support.

County Clerk Kevin Montgomery, representing Garrard County, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with Commissioner Shell in promoting the Ag Tag Program. This initiative is designed to support local 4-H and FFA students, signifying a commitment to agricultural education and youth development in Kentucky.

Montgomery also extended gratitude to fellow Garrard countian Mark Metcalf, the newly elected state treasurer, for his participation with the association during the meeting.
