Three More Cases Reported Wednesday, Total Now 16
Lancaster, KY (June 18, 2020) — The Garrard County Health Department confirmed the 14th, 15th and 16th positive cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday afternoon.
“As of this afternoon, Garrard County Health Department has been notified of three additional COVID-19 cases,” a statement released by the health department yesterday evening said. “This brings our total case count to 16. Please continue to follow CDC and Governor Andy Beshear’s guidelines.”
Garrard County Judge Executive John Wilson also commented on the newly confirmed cases after their announcement Wednesday afternoon.
“We have three more corona cases being reported today, and they are all in the same household. They are a 66 year old female, an 18-year-old female and a 12-year-old female,” Wilson said. ‘All three are doing well and will quarantine at home until testing negative. Please continue to take all proper precautions, including social distancing; especially around our most vulnerable.”
The 13th case was announced on Monday, with that patient identified as a male but the age has not been released. This patient was reported to be connected to an existing case and doing fine at home.
As of now, six of the 16 confirmed cases in Garrard have made full recoveries, according to officials.
