Filing Deadline For 2020 Election Less Than A Week Away

FRANKFORT, Ky. (January 6, 2020) - Kentucky Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes is reminding Kentuckians that the filing deadline for candidates who intend to run in the 2020 Primary Election is one week away. The filing window officially closes on January 10, 2020 at 4:00 p.m.

Offices on the Kentucky ballot in 2020 include:

* Presidential Preference Primary
* United States Senator
* United States Representative in Congress
* State Senator (Odd Districts)
* State Representative
* Justice of the Supreme Court, District 7 
* Unexpired Terms

Candidates interested in filing for office can come by the office between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
