Update - District 7 Report for Routes Affected by Weather Conditions

LEXINGTON, Ky. (April 4, 2025)  The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists that this advisory is an update for high water and slides in the district. The following is the most accurate information available for the time this advisory was sent.

Signage is placed in areas that have high water and flooding. When the water recedes, and roads are deemed safe, “Road Closed” signs will be removed.

Motorists should never attempt to drive through high water. The traveling public is reminded to seek alternate routes in low areas that are prone to flooding.

Anderson County

  • Glensboro Road/KY 44 – between milepoints 4.0 and 6.0

Bourbon County

  • Millersburg Cynthiana Road/KY 1879 – between milepoints 1.6 and 2.7

  • North Middletown Road/US 460 – between milepoints 12.1 and 14.2

  • North Middletown Road/US 460 is closed at the intersection of Thatchers Mill Road/KY 57 (milepoint 12.7) and Cane Ridge Road/KY 537 (milepoint 0.0)

Clark County

  • L&E Junction Road/KY 1960 – milepoints 5.534 and 6.934

  • Paris Road/KY 627 – milepoint 13.383

  • Mina Station Road/KY 1028 – milepoints 0.0 and 2.0

  • Sterling Road/US 60 – milepoints 14.563 and 15.603

  • Clintonville Road/KY 1678 – milepoint 1.637

Garrard County

  • US 27 SB – closed at milepoint 0.0 (the Garrard-Lincoln County line) at the Dix River Bridge --- high water is in Lincoln County and the closure is on the Garrard County side

Jessamine County

  • KY 1267 – closed at the Jessamine-Woodford County line

Madison County

  • Lexington Road/KY 2328 – open between the Boones Trace Subdivision (milepoint 1.4) and the bridge over the KY River (milepoint 1.9) due to an active mud slide

  • Union City Road/KY 186 – closed at milepoint 2.0 and 2.1

  • Paint Lick Road/KY 21 - WB between milepoints 0.0 and 2.94

Mercer County

  • US 68 – milepoint 5.0

  • KY 1915 – between milepoints 1.0 and 3.0

  • KY 1941 – between milepoints 10.0 and 14.0

Montgomery County

  • US 460 – between milepoints 21 and 21.5

  • KY 599 – closed at milepoint 3.1

  • Howards Mill Road/KY 1331 – between milepoints 3.0 and 4.0

  • KY 537 – between milepoints 2.0 and 2.5

  • US 60 – between milepoints 4.0 and 5.0

  • KY 713 – between milepoints 8.0 and 9.0

  • KY 3362 – between milepoints 2.0 and 3.0

All work and/or closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather, emergencies, and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.

District 7 includes Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott, and Woodford Counties.
