Lancaster City Council Meeting Agenda for March 6, 2023

The Lancaster City Council will hold its regular meeting on Monday, March 6, 2023, at 7:00 PM at the Council Chambers located at 308 West Maple Avenue. The meeting is open to the public, and citizens are encouraged to attend.

The meeting will start with a call to order, followed by a roll call and welcome to all present. The council will then move on to approve the minutes and financial report from the previous meeting.

The council will hear from citizens present and Mayor Gaffney. The council will then move on to department reports, starting with Parks and Rec, followed by Maintenance, Police, and Fire.

Under old business, the council will discuss the comprehensive plan, festival road closure, and second reading on ordinance amendment for the farmers market.

In new business, the council will discuss water and sewer tap fees, mowing bids, park board ordinance-1st reading, fire chief ordinance-1st reading, and the Garrard County Homeless Coalition.

An executive session may be called for the purpose of discussing litigation under KRS 61.810(e).

The next meeting of the Lancaster City Council will be held on April 10, 2023, at 7:00 PM. The meeting will conclude with a motion to pay all signed monthly bills.

Of particular note is the presentation by Kristen Turpin on child abuse prevention and awareness, which promises to be an important discussion for the community. The council encourages all interested parties to attend and participate in this vital discussion.
