Garrard County Conservation Offers Cost Share for Landowners Purchasing 2,4D

Garrard County, Kentucky - The Garrard County Conservation District is offering cost share assistance to landowners who purchase and spray the chemical 2,4D. This program aims to encourage landowners to take an active role in managing and improving their land by controlling weeds and invasive species.

Under this program, each landowner in Garrard County can be reimbursed for one container of 2,4D, with a maximum reimbursement limit of $56.00. This reimbursement covers the cost of the chemical and is intended to offset the financial burden of weed control for landowners.

The 2,4D chemical is an effective herbicide used to control a wide range of broadleaf weeds and invasive plants. With this program, landowners can now access this herbicide at a reduced cost, making it easier for them to manage their land effectively.

For those who require sprayers, the Conservation District Office has them available for lease at a nominal fee. This added service is aimed at making the weed control process more accessible and convenient for landowners.

To participate in this program, landowners are encouraged to call the Garrard County Conservation District at (859) 792-2620 or visit the office located at 166 Precision Court, Lancaster, Kentucky. The program is available to all landowners in Garrard County, and the Conservation District hopes to see widespread participation in the program to help improve the overall health of the land in the area.
