Update - Route Report Due to Rain, High Water in District 7
Sections of Roadways Remain Closed in Clark and Garrard Counties
LEXINGTON, Ky. – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises that D7 personnel continue to monitor routes due to previous heavy rainfall. This advisory serves as an update.
Motorists should remain aware of possible debris such as small tree limbs, and gravel that has washed out. Never attempt to drive through standing or flowing water.
Signage is placed in areas that have high water and flooding. When the water recedes, and roads are deemed safe, “Road Closed” signs are removed.

Clark County
Mina Station Road/KY1028 - closed between MP 0.0 and 2.0
Garrard County
Leavell Ridge Road/KY 1971 – closed between MP 2.3 and 2.7
All work/closures are scheduled on a tentative basis, and subject to change depending on weather conditions, emergencies and other factors beyond the control of the Department of Highways.
District 7 includes: Anderson, Bourbon, Boyle, Clark, Fayette, Garrard, Jessamine, Madison, Mercer, Montgomery, Scott and Woodford Counties
