Paint Lick VillageFest & Car Show This Weekend (Sat. Oct. 21)

This year, the historic village of Paint Lick is gearing up to host its 35th VillageFest on Saturday, October 21st, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Set in the picturesque downtown area of Paint Lick, this festival promises to be an unforgettable experience for attendees of all ages.

Visitors can look forward to a myriad of activities throughout the day. Over 50 local vendors will showcase their unique crafts, products, and services, while a variety of food options will be available, ranging from the savory Barnyard BBQ and Taqueria Ramirez to the delightful Kona Ice and Dreaming Creek Brewery. Five food trucks will also be on site, ensuring that festival-goers have a plethora of dining options to choose from.

In addition to shopping and dining, attendees can enjoy a range of fun-filled activities. Inflatables, hay rides, and train rides are set to be a hit among the younger crowd, while live music and performances, including a special appearance by the Kentucky Bluegrass Cloggers, will keep everyone entertained. The live entertainment lineup features an open jam session, performances by The Band TBD, Collins & Cox, KY Cloggers, and a closing act by CC Allen.

For automotive enthusiasts, the VillageFest Car Show is a must-visit. Hosted at The Denny House Lawn on 5958 Old Railroad Grade Road, the car show will feature an array of vehicles, from classic motorcycles and rat rods to tractors and modern cars. With over 40 trophies up for grabs, including categories such as Best of Class, Best of Show, and People's Choice, participants have ample opportunities to be recognized for their prized vehicles. The car show will run from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with registration closing at 1:00 PM.

Organizers of the 2023 VillageFest & Car Show have left no stone unturned to ensure a memorable experience for attendees. From face painting to the presence of a bookmobile and much more, the festival offers something for everyone.

For those interested in attending, the VillageFest is free for all, while participants in the car show are required to pay a $15 registration fee. The organizers encourage everyone to mark their calendars and join in the festivities on October 21st.
