The Garrard County Lady Lions (18-14, 14-12 region) will be facing the Colts of West Jessamine (27-9, 9-0) on Monday, Oct. 23 at approximately 7:30 p.m at Somerset Christian School.

Though the Lions and Colts have not met this season, Jessamine will come into the tournament as heavy favorites with an unblemished 9-0 record in 12th Region play and the top ranking in the division according to the Rating Percentage Index (RPI).

This is Garrard's second time qualifying for the 12th Region Tournament in three years. They made the field after defeating Lincoln County 3-2 on Oct. 17 in the semifinals of the 45th District Tournament. The Lady Lions fell the next night to Boyle County in an exhilarating 5-set match.

Somerset Christian School is set to host the KHSAA Volleyball Regional Tournament, with matches lined up from October 23 to October 26, 2023.

The schedule for the tournament is as follows:

October 23, 2023:

- West Jessamine vs. Garrard at 7:30 pm

- Pulaski vs. Southwestern at 10:00 pm

October 24, 2023:

- Somerset Christian vs. Boyle at 6:00 pm

- Somerset vs. Trinity Christian at 7:30 pm

The winners from these matchups will advance to the semifinals slated for October 25, with matches at 6:00 pm and 7:30 pm. The championship match is scheduled for October 26 at 6:30 pm.
