Lancaster, Kentucky – Aug. 2, 2019 – Rumpke Waste & Recycling became the new trash service provider for the City of Lancaster on August 1.

As part of the new agreement, residents will have the option to use their own trash cans. Residents can also lease a 95-gallon trash cart for $2.50 per month.

“We’re proud to partner with Rumpke to provide residents and businesses with quality, cost effective waste collection services,” said Mayor Marshall Norton. “We look forward to working with Rumpke to keep Lancaster clean and green.”

Rumpke mailed informational fliers the last week of July to each Lancaster residence with general service guidelines, including the company’s holiday schedule and large item collection procedures.

“Our family-owned company appreciates the opportunity to provide service for Lancaster,” said Adam Rumpke, region vice president. “City officials have worked diligently to ensure a seamless transition with uninterrupted service.”

Rumpke started delivering trash containers this week. For questions and more information, please contact Rumpke’s customer service team at 1-800-828-8171 or www.rumpke.com.
